Aggressive pressure peaks in piping systems often exceed limits and the included components get damaged.
Particularly in fuel oil supply systems of large diesel engines serious danger can arise.
The pulsation damper type "PAPS" compensates these aggressive pressure peaks by a hermetically enclosed and controlled air volume. The installation takes place "IN LINE". The pressure impulses are led almost reflection-free on the air volume and will be absorbed so effectively. Constructional characteristics offer a high measure of security and ensure in each operating condition the control of the optimal damping-air-volume. Leakage-free, magnetic level-/air volume measuring and the pneumatic-automatic controlling arrangement for the preservation of the air volume guarantee the fully automatic operation.

Installation of the pulsation damper PAPS increases safety, leads to reduction of costs and simplifies design / construction.
In operation sensible components, measuring instruments and piping system will be permanently protected.

Actual the "PAPS" principle for pulsation damping will be installed in lubricating oil systems. Due to the block construction method the control unit is flexible applicable.

In co-operation with the German shipyard Flensburger Schiffabu-Gesellschaft mbH & Co. KG, the "PAPS" control unit will be installed in the lubricating oil system for main engine. Effective pulsation damping makes the system safe.
